On the initiative of the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, Medit Silva Foundation and the Monastery of the Santa Croce di Fonte Avellana, the Institute for Climate Change Solutions has been founded on January 28, 2020.
ICCS provides an international synergistic platform for discussion and research in the fields of natural climate variability, the ongoing global change and its impacts on ecosystems and economy.
Partners involved in common research and projects supported by the ICCS share knowledge, facilities and results as necessary to accomplish the goals of the work.
The ICCS also develops and promotes educational programs dedicated to climate system science and strategic thinking on policies that advance solutions to impacts of climate change.
Hosting and coordinating research by international researchers, supported by administrative and technical staff, makes of ICCS an open laboratory and a platform for collaborative research through the activities of four interdependent sections:
  1. Atmosphere
  2. Marine
  3. Land and internal areas
  4. Energy and Economy
